This Privacy Policy describes how SpotLive Learning Hub Inc. ("SpotLive", "we", "us") handles personal information that we collect when you visit spotlive.live, read our journal, use our free calculators, contact us by form or email, or subscribe to our editorial updates.
We have written this document in plain language because we expect you to read it. If anything is unclear, write to [email protected] and we will revise the wording.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Contact form submissions. Name, email address, optional phone number, the topic you select, and the message body.
- Direct correspondence. Anything you choose to share when you email or call us.
- Topic suggestions and reader Q&A. Submitted via the contact form or via reply to our editorial updates.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Server access logs — IP address, user agent, request timestamp, and the URL you visited. Logs are retained for 14 days for security troubleshooting only.
- One functional cookie — a single key (
spotlive_cc) recording whether you have already responded to the cookie banner.
2.3 Information we do not collect
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not embed analytics scripts that profile individual readers.
- Calculator inputs run entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to us.
3. How we use information
We use the information you provide to reply to your message, point you at the most relevant guide or calculator, and consider the topic for inclusion on our editorial calendar. Anonymized counts of contact-form topics may be referenced in editorial planning notes (e.g., "23 readers asked about refinancing in March").
We will not use your information to sell you products, send marketing on behalf of partners, or build behavioural profiles of any kind.
4. Lawful basis
For readers in jurisdictions that recognize GDPR-style lawful bases, we rely on (i) your consent when you tick the consent box on the contact form, (ii) our legitimate interest in maintaining a small editorial archive of reader correspondence, and (iii) compliance with our own legal obligations to retain limited records of inquiries.
5. Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:
- Our hosting provider, which processes server logs to deliver pages to your browser.
- Our email provider, when you initiate an email exchange with us.
- Law enforcement, where we are legally obligated to do so under a valid request.
6. Retention
- Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months from your last interaction.
- Newsletter unsubscribe records are retained indefinitely so we do not re-add you accidentally.
- Server logs are retained for 14 days.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of any personal information we hold about you, as well as a copy in a portable format. We respond within 30 days. For deletion requests, we will retain only the minimum information necessary to honour the deletion (for example, the email address on a do-not-contact list).

8. Children
SpotLive is intended for general adult audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we hold information about a minor, contact us and we will delete it on confirmation.
9. International transfers
Our hosting and email infrastructure is located in the United States. If you contact us from a jurisdiction with data-export restrictions, please be aware that your message will be processed in the US.
10. Security
We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS), restricted-access mailboxes, and limited admin accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but our footprint is deliberately small to minimize risk.
11. Updates to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and post a short note in our weekly editorial update. Material changes are highlighted for thirty days.
