Terms & Conditions

Welcome to spotlive.live. By visiting this site, reading our journal, using a calculator or contacting us, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. About these terms

"SpotLive", "we", "us" and "our" mean SpotLive Learning Hub Inc., a US corporation registered as EDU-2024-7281405. "Service" means anything we make available through spotlive.live, including the journal, calculators, downloadable spreadsheets and contact forms. "You" means anyone using the Service.

2. Educational use only

Everything on SpotLive is published as personal-finance education. Nothing on the site is financial, tax, legal or investment advice. We are not licensed financial advisors, do not have a fiduciary relationship with any reader, and do not consider your individual circumstances when we publish.

If you are about to make a material financial decision, speak with a fiduciary financial planner, a Certified Public Accountant, a licensed insurance professional or a qualified attorney. We can help you arrive at that meeting better prepared; we cannot replace it.

3. Calculators

The calculators are simplified models. They omit several real-world considerations including but not limited to tax bracket effects, inflation, fees, employer matching schedules, variable-rate adjustments, and contribution-cap interactions. Outputs are estimates intended to help you reason about a decision, not figures to act on without further verification.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of any applicable regulation.
  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Attempt to access accounts, data or computer systems that you are not authorized to use.
  • Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information through any contact channel.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content beyond standard search-engine crawling.

5. Intellectual property

All articles, calculators, illustrations, logos and downloadable assets on SpotLive are owned by us or licensed to us. You may quote short excerpts (under 200 words) for non-commercial purposes provided you include attribution and a backlink to the original article. Reproduction in full, framing, mirroring or commercial reuse is not permitted without our prior written consent.

Reader-submitted topic suggestions remain yours. By submitting a question or topic, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to reference the question (anonymized by default, attributed only with your explicit permission) in editorial planning and published material.

6. External links

Where we link to a third-party site, we do so because we found it useful at the time of writing. We do not endorse, control or guarantee anything on those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices.

7. Availability

We aim for the Service to be available 24/7, but we make no guarantee. Maintenance windows and unforeseen outages happen. We will not be liable for losses arising from a temporary unavailability of the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpotLive's total liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to USD $100 or the total amount you have paid us in the prior twelve months, whichever is greater. We do not limit liability for fraud, gross negligence or anything that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, including by blocking specific IP addresses, if we have reasonable grounds to believe you have violated these Terms. The provisions that survive termination are those a reasonable person would expect to survive (intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law).

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas.

12. Changes

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page and announced in our weekly editorial update. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.

13. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, write to [email protected] with the subject line "Terms".
